Queen of Pretty Productions created by Bevolyn Williams-Harold on the premise that everyone is worthy of having beautiful things in their lives, especially beautiful experiences, even on a modest budget. As her mother used to say, “It’s not how much it costs that matters, but how much you pay.”
Bevolyn uses novel, cost-effective ways to create a stellar experience for her clients, whether they are for a wedding, an intimate rehearsal dinner, or children’s party. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Journalism from Baruch College, City University of New York, and began her career as a business journalist writing for magazines that include MONEY, Black Enterprise, and The Network Journal. She also freelanced for Time Inc. Content Solutions as an Editorial Researcher for several years, and have also freelanced as a writer, editor, and researcher.
In early 2008, Bevolyn began working as a Volunteer Conference and Event Planner for Living Word Community Church in Manhattan, New York, overseeing and coordinating their after-service potluck luncheons, special events and services, financial workshop, and two women’s retreats for the former head of the Women’s Ministry. Many of the photos in her slideshow came from these events. As the church’s resident, “Queen of Pretty,” Bevolyn decided to expand her talents to include the general public.
Her expertise is in the areas of event decor, centerpieces, tablescapes, and gift bags for intimate to mid-size gatherings in New York City, and the lower-Westchester areas of New York.
